The problem

On Geizhals, price is what counts. But first your offer has to get there.

Geizhals doesn’t compare your price list but its own product database, and it attaches each of your offers to one of its products. For that, it fetches your price list every 10 minutes and expects manufacturer, manufacturer part number, EAN, gross price, shipping costs and delivery time for every product. An export from your store rarely delivers all of that, and whatever is missing is missing from the comparison.

  1. Offers without a match.

If the manufacturer, manufacturer part number or EAN is missing, Geizhals finds no product for your offer. It appears nowhere, and nobody notices, because there’s no error message.

  2. Yesterday’s prices.

Geizhals fetches the price list every 10 minutes; a manual export comes once a day or less. Shoppers who click on Geizhals and pay more in your store buy elsewhere. You’ve paid for the click anyway.

  3. Shipping costs and delivery time missing.

Geizhals expects shipping costs per country and delivery time per product, some of it required by law. Without them, your offer appears without shipping or not at all.

  4. All variants in one row.

Geizhals wants a separate row with its own EAN for each color and size. A store export often only delivers the parent product, and the comparison shows one variant instead of twelve.

A feed from your store delivers every field, in every row, refreshed every few minutes.

How many of your products does Geizhals match today? We’ll take a look in the audit.

Our approach

Automate first. Then optimize.

Many agencies maintain feeds as a file: export, fix things in the spreadsheet, upload, and start over at the next error. We build the feed once from your store, with rules for the whole catalog. Whatever we improve after that applies to every product.

Comparison: file by file or one feed from your store
Usual: file by file Unhooked: one feed from your store
Data source Export, spreadsheet, upload Your store, automatically
One change By hand in every file Once in your store, everywhere in the feed
Rejections After the fact, product by product Rules for the whole catalog, before the platform checks
New country, new platform The work starts over Builds on the feed
Billing By the hour, for as long as it takes Once at a fixed price. No hourly rates, no revenue share.

All four ways onto marketplaces, compared

How it works

Maintain it once in your store. In the comparison on Geizhals.

Your store stays the single data source. The feed translates it into the price list Geizhals expects and keeps it up to date.

  1. You manage your store.

Products, prices and inventory as before, in Shopify, WooCommerce or your PIM.

  2. We build the Geizhals feed.

Manufacturer, manufacturer part number and EAN for matching, gross price, availability and shipping costs per country, every variant as its own row. Everything in your Channable account, which belongs to you.

  3. The feed updates itself.

When you change price or inventory in your store, the feed follows up to 24 times a day. Geizhals fetches your price list every 10 minutes, and you don’t upload anything anymore.

One product. On Geizhals, every variant one row.

In your store
“Over-ear headphones, Bluetooth”
On Geizhals, variant Black
“Kopfhörer Over-Ear Bluetooth 5.3 schwarz”
On Geizhals, variant White
“Kopfhörer Over-Ear Bluetooth 5.3 weiß”
On Geizhals, variant Blue
“Kopfhörer Over-Ear Bluetooth 5.3 blau”
  • Required fields complete
  • Category assigned
  • Each variant one row, linked as a group
  • Gross price, availability and shipping per country from your store
  • Already listed on Geizhals?

Then we build the feed in your Channable account and give Geizhals the new feed address. Your contract and your merchant page stay.

  • Your products are missing from the comparison?

Geizhals maintains its product database itself. With manufacturer, manufacturer part number and EAN, every offer finds its product; whatever Geizhals doesn’t know yet, we’ll look at in the audit.

  • The Channable account is yours.

You get a handover and documentation and can step in yourself at any time.

A good fit if ...

  • Your store runs on Shopify or WooCommerce, or another system delivers clean data.
  • You sell around 100 products or more, ideally in a few categories.
  • Your product data has GTINs, clean variants and someone who maintains it.
  • You sell branded goods with a manufacturer part number: electronics, household, sports, drugstore or DIY, in other words what Geizhals compares.

Probably not a fit if ...

  • You’re looking for someone to run your campaigns. We build the feed.
  • Product data is missing, and nobody can maintain it.
  • You run a dropshipping business.

FAQ about the Geizhals feed

Your question isn’t here? Ask it in the audit, that’s what it’s for.

What does the Geizhals feed cost?

You pay for the feed once, at a fixed price. The next feed builds on it, because data and rules are already in place. No hourly rates, no revenue share. We tell you the price in the first call, not after three.

How fast will the feed be live?

Within 7 business days. The clock starts as soon as we have access to your Channable account, the data source is connected and you’ve selected the products. If you’re not listed on Geizhals yet, Geizhals reviews your sign-up; when your offer appears in the comparison is up to Geizhals.

How do we become a merchant on Geizhals?

Through a form at Geizhals: contact person, store URL and the address of your price list. Geizhals also requires proof of business registration, a copy of the owner’s ID and an extract from the company or commercial register, and your legal notice has to be complete. After that, the Geizhals team gets in touch and signs the contract with you. You submit the sign-up; we guide you through it, deliver the price list and tell you what Geizhals wants to see. Geizhals can decline without giving reasons; that’s out of our hands.

Which fields does Geizhals require?

Required are item number, product name, manufacturer, gross price in euros and a deep link to the order page. Geizhals also recommends availability with delivery time, shipping costs per product, manufacturer part number, EAN, unit price and energy label; shipping costs, delivery time and unit price are partly required by law. The feed delivers all of it from your store, one row per variant.

Why are some of our products missing on Geizhals?

Geizhals only shows offers it can match to a product in its own, editorially maintained database. That takes manufacturer, manufacturer part number and EAN, for variants in every row. If a number is missing or in the wrong field, the offer stays invisible, without an error message. The feed puts the numbers in the right fields; whatever Geizhals doesn’t know as a product yet, we work out in the audit.

Does the feed cover Austria and Germany?

Yes. Geizhals works with one price list per store and shows your offer on geizhals.at, geizhals.de and geizhals.eu, depending on where you ship. Shipping costs per country are in the same price list, and the feed fills them from your store. Geizhals runs separate sites for the UK and Poland; whether that’s worth it for you, we work out in the audit.

We already send Geizhals a price list, through a plugin or an agency. What changes?

We rebuild the feed in your Channable account, from your store, and you give Geizhals the new feed address. Your contract and your merchant page on Geizhals stay. You can turn off the plugin afterwards, and the same data and rules carry the next feed, for example for idealo or billiger.de.

Which store systems work?

We connect Shopify and WooCommerce directly. Other systems too, if they deliver clean data, through an API or an export. Whether your data is good enough, we’ll see in the audit.

How current are prices and availability on Geizhals?

Geizhals fetches your price list every 10 minutes. The feed picks up price and inventory changes from your store up to 24 times a day, and you don’t upload anything. If Geizhals changes its rules later, we adapt the feed on request.

Do we need Channable?

Yes, Channable is the engine of the feed. If you don’t have an account yet, you create one and invite us. You pay the license directly to Channable, and the account belongs to you. If you already use Channable, we build the feed in your account.

What don’t you do?

The contract and billing with Geizhals, pricing in your store and product creation at Geizhals, which the Geizhals editorial team handles. We build the feed and make sure Geizhals can match your offers. A single small fix without the feed is the exception; bring it up in the audit.

Do you also run our campaigns?

No. We build the feed; you sign the contract and handle billing with Geizhals directly. On Geizhals, price decides the ranking, not a bid; a clean feed is the foundation for your price being in the comparison at all.
