The problem

The feed is set up. Half of it is still missing on billiger.de.

Over 400,000 visitors a day compare more than 100 million offers on billiger.de, and the site requires more than title and price for that: GTIN, shipping costs, delivery time, images and further required information for each category. Whatever is missing or contradicts your product page doesn’t make it onto the site. And if you maintain all that in a file, you start over with every change.

  1. Price in the feed, different price in the store.

billiger.de checks the feed against your product page. If the price differs, the offer fails the quality check. With yesterday’s file, that’s exactly what happens, with every price change.

  2. Shipping costs and delivery time missing.

Both are required, for every offer, the delivery time with a unit. If either is missing, the offer is missing. And shoppers who compare see the price including shipping.

  3. No GTIN, no comparison.

The GTIN is required; it matches your offer to the product. If it’s missing, billiger.de asks for the manufacturer part number. Without either, your offer never reaches the page where prices are compared.

  4. Variants without a group, requirements per category.

Every size and every color is its own row, linked as a group, with the attribute in the title. On top of that, each category has its own required information: unit price, energy label, material for textiles. Nobody keeps that up to date by hand.

A feed from your store takes that off your hands: built once with all required fields, then it runs automatically.

What’s missing in your feed? We’ll take a look in the audit.

Our approach

Automate first. Then optimize.

Many agencies maintain feeds as a file: export, fix things in the spreadsheet, upload, and start over at the next error. We build the feed once from your store, with rules for the whole catalog. Whatever we improve after that applies to every product.

Comparison: file by file or one feed from your store
Usual: file by file Unhooked: one feed from your store
Data source Export, spreadsheet, upload Your store, automatically
One change By hand in every file Once in your store, everywhere in the feed
Rejections After the fact, product by product Rules for the whole catalog, before the platform checks
New country, new platform The work starts over Builds on the feed
Billing By the hour, for as long as it takes Once at a fixed price. No hourly rates, no revenue share.

All four ways onto marketplaces, compared

How it works

Maintain it once in your store. In the comparison on billiger.de.

Your store stays the single data source. The feed translates it into billiger.de’s fields, and the site fetches the feed on its own.

  1. You manage your store.

Products, prices and inventory as before, in Shopify, WooCommerce or your PIM.

  2. We build the billiger.de feed.

Required fields, category and variants following the rules of billiger.de: GTIN, price, shipping costs, delivery time, images. Everything in your Channable account, which belongs to you.

  3. The rest runs on its own.

Prices and availability come from your store into the feed, and billiger.de fetches it several times a day. Whatever you change in your store is on the site at the next fetch.

One product. In the billiger.de feed, every size one row.

In your store
“Trail running shoe”
In the billiger.de feed, size 42
“Trail Laufschuh Herren grau 42”
In the billiger.de feed, size 43
“Trail Laufschuh Herren grau 43”
In the billiger.de feed, size 44
“Trail Laufschuh Herren grau 44”
  • Required fields complete
  • Category assigned
  • Each variant one row, linked as a group
  • Price and availability from your store
  • Already on billiger.de?

Your merchant account and your contract stay. We rebuild the feed from your store, check it with billiger.de’s feed check and only then swap the feed address in your partner portal.

  • Your prices in the store and in the feed have to match.

billiger.de compares the feed with your product page. That’s why the price comes from your store, never from a spreadsheet. The feed carries strikethrough prices and sale prices as separate fields.

  • The Channable account is yours.

You get a handover and documentation and can step in yourself at any time.

  • Your store runs on Shopify or WooCommerce, or another system delivers clean data.
  • You sell around 100 products or more, ideally in a few categories.
  • Your product data has GTINs, clean variants and someone who maintains it.

  • Product data is missing, and nobody can maintain it.
  • You run a dropshipping business.

FAQ about the billiger.de feed

Your question isn’t here? Ask it in the audit, that’s what it’s for.

What does the billiger.de feed cost?

You pay for the feed once, at a fixed price. The next feed builds on it, because data and rules are already in place. No hourly rates, no revenue share. We tell you the price in the first call, not after three.

How fast will the feed be live?

Within 7 business days. The clock starts as soon as we have access to your Channable account, the data source is connected and you’ve selected the products. If you don’t have a merchant account with billiger.de yet, billiger.de reviews your store beforehand, within a few days by its own account. That runs in parallel; approval is up to billiger.de.

How does signing up with billiger.de work, and who does it?

You register your store through the form for online retailers. billiger.de reviews the details within a few days and sends the contract by email, and after you sign, you get access to the partner portal. You sign the contract. We tell you beforehand what the store needs and then enter the feed address in the partner portal.

Which required fields does billiger.de ask for?

Item number, GTIN, title with the variant attribute, brand, description, link to the product page, an image of at least 500 × 500 pixels, price including VAT, shipping costs, delivery time with a unit and the category path from your store. For variants, also the group, size and color; for textiles, the material; depending on the category, unit price or energy label. If the GTIN is missing, billiger.de asks for the manufacturer part number. The feed from your store fills all of this from rules, not by hand.

Our feed is running, but offers are missing on billiger.de. Why?

Usually for one of four reasons: the price in the feed doesn’t match your product page, shipping costs or delivery time are missing, the GTIN is missing, or a category-specific required field is missing. In the audit, we look at your feed and a few product pages, and then you’ll know what’s causing it. The new feed only goes onto the site once it passes billiger.de’s feed check without errors.

Do we need Channable?

Yes, Channable is the engine of the feed. If you don’t have an account yet, you create one and invite us. You pay the license directly to Channable, and the account belongs to you. If you already use Channable, we build the feed in your account.

We already have an app or an agency for the feed. How does switching work?

Your merchant account and your contract with billiger.de stay. We build the new feed from your store, check it, and only then do you swap the feed address in the partner portal. Until then, the old feed keeps running. You can cancel the app afterwards.

Does billiger.de also work for Austria or other countries?

billiger.de is a price comparison site for Germany, with prices in euros and copy in German. The feed can include shipping costs to Austria as a separate field. For Austria, solute also runs a separate site, and Geizhals compares prices in Germany and Austria. Which feed fits which country, we work out in the audit.

Which store systems does this work with?

With Shopify and WooCommerce, or with any system that delivers clean data, for example through your PIM. Channable imports from your store, and the feed is built from rules. We’ll see what your system delivers in the audit.

Do you also run our campaigns?

No. We build the feed; you sign the contract and handle billing with billiger.de directly. You arrange click budget, partner network and Shopping ads via solute with billiger.de. A clean feed is the foundation for that.

How often does the feed update?

Prices and availability flow from your store into Channable, the feed sits at a fixed address, and billiger.de fetches it several times a day. Whatever you change in your store is on the site at the next fetch. If the platform changes its rules later, we adapt the feed on request.

What is billiger.de’s partner network?

billiger.de belongs to solute, and solute also places offers on more than 100 partner sites, including t-online, PC WELT and Computer Bild. The feed stays the same. Which of it you use and what it costs, you arrange with billiger.de.
